Case Knives Overlander: A Legacy on the Move
A Case Study in Branded Experience and Custom Fabrication
The Challenge: Bringing a Legacy to Life in a Fast-Paced World

The Insight: Creating an Experience That Moves People—Literally and emotionally
At Our People Entertainment, we believe that people don’t just buy what you do; they buy why you do it. Case Knives isn’t just about selling knives—it’s about heritage, craftsmanship, and the stories that knives carry with them. This understanding shaped our entire approach.
Instead of a static booth or a simple branded presence, we leaned into the essence of movement—both physical and emotional. The idea of an Overland Truck & Trailer Experience became the answer. We weren’t just bringing the brand to retailers; we were bringing a traveling embodiment of the Case Knives legacy to communities across the country.
To make this vision a reality, we fabricated a 2020 Jeep Gladiator, fully outfitted as a rugged overlander, symbolizing adventure and self-reliance—values that align perfectly with the Case Knives ethos. But we didn’t stop there. We transformed the trailer into an expansive 20’x40’ activation space, complete with:
- A massive sun-rated outdoor television with a hurricane-rated cover to captivate audiences with storytelling content
- A custom-built “Walk Through History” experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the evolution of Case Knives
- Rolling display cases showcasing the craftsmanship of the brand’s most iconic blades
- A string survey wall that invited guests to physically connect their personal knife stories to the brand’s heritage
- The world’s largest jean pocket—a bold, interactive piece that reinforced the everyday carry culture of Case Knives
Every detail was designed not just to display products but to foster emotional engagement and interaction.
The Solution: Overcoming Obstacles with Creativity and Strategic Thinking
No project of this scale is without its challenges. Here’s how we tackled them:
- Standing Out in Retail Environments – Retail spaces are crowded and competitive. By designing an overland truck that was impossible to ignore and an activation space that extended beyond the typical footprint, we created a presence that not only stood out visually but also invited participation.
- Balancing Functionality with Brand Aesthetics – A rugged Jeep Gladiator outfitted for overland travel had to remain authentic to its function while also serving as a brand beacon. Every design choice, from materials to color palettes, was carefully selected to feel both high-performance and in line with Case Knives’ identity.
- Transport and Setup Logistics – A traveling activation must be easy to set up and break down without losing its impact. We engineered modular elements, ensuring that the setup was efficient without compromising the immersive feel of the experience.
- Engaging a Diverse Audience – Enthusiasts and collectors already love Case Knives, but we needed to capture new audiences. The interactive components—like the history walk and survey wall—bridged the gap, drawing in both seasoned fans and first-time visitors.
The Lesson: Experiences Create Legacy
Through this project, we reinforced a core belief: brands that create experiences don’t just sell products—they build communities. The Case Knives Overlander didn’t just showcase a product line; it put the brand’s history, craftsmanship, and values on full display in a way that was engaging, immersive, and shareable.
More importantly, we saw firsthand the power of storytelling in a physical space. People don’t connect with objects—they connect with meaning. By creating a space where visitors could see, touch, and share their own stories, we weren’t just creating an activation; we were reinforcing a legacy.
At Our People Entertainment, we don’t just build activations—we build emotional connections. And that’s why this project didn’t just succeed in getting attention; it succeeded in leaving a lasting impression.
